The Maryville Housing Authority (MHA) is a non-profit agency that was chartered through the state in 1961. It is governed by a 5 member Board of Commissioners appointed by the City Mayor of Maryville. The day to day operation is managed by Executive Director
Julie Sharpe
and a staff of 23.
MHA owns and manages 522 dwellings through four public housing developments, one project based Section- 8 development, and four privately owned units. We also provide rental assistance to approximately 356 families through our Housing Choice Voucher program with housing assistance payments made to private landlords. Over 2,400 household members are served through these programs.
We directly impact the local economy through salaries, housing assistance payments to private landlords, modernization efforts and operational outlays that exceed $7,000,000 annually.

22% of households have income from wages with an average income of $20,627.
2% of households have income from public assistance, child support, family contributions or other sources.

Maryville Housing Authority has consistently been a HUD designated “High Performer” based on scoring through Annual Audits, Inspections, and Resident Satisfaction Surveys.
